Basically, Those sites pay you to click on ads and view for X second. Where X is between 10 to 30 seconds. You earn between 0.01$ and 0.02$ per ads and there's a limited ad per day that you can view.
There's also site like Neobux that let you buy referrals. As those person view their ads and make money you make money. So for example you have 30 referrals, that each view 5 ads a day and you earn 0.01$ from them, you earn 30 X 5 X 0.01$ + your 5 ads of 0.01. For a total of 1.55$/day.
This is in a perfect world because lots of your referrals won't click all 5 ads and some don't even click on one.
You can recycle them for a small fee and you can try your luck with a new one.
PTC site is much more than just click your 5 ads and wait the next day for your 5 cents. You can manage, buy, recycle referrals. For the much needed "snowball effect". More referrals means more money, with more money you buy more referrals, etc.
